Aate ka halwa is a delicious and smooth texture Indian sweet recipe which is made with equal proportion of ghee, flour and sugar.
Heat the ghee in a heavy bottom pan.
Add whole wheat flour and roast in ghee on medium flame till to brown. Keep stirring continuously.
Add the chopped nuts and fry until the color changed to dark brown.
Boil the 2 cups of water in separate saucepan.
Once the flour is brown, add boiled water in flour pan and cook till to water is absorbed by the flour.
Keep stirring to avoid lumps.
Add cardamom powder and sugar and mix well.
Cook again for 3-4 minutes more till to sugar dissolve completely and halwa release ghee.
Garnish the halwa with dry nuts and saffron. Serve warm with poori.
