Cheese Cigars

Cheese cigars are so cheesy and creamy from
the inside and crisp from the outer side. You can serve this instant cheese
snack with any dip, personally I prefer tomato based spicy sauce so I choose pizza
sauce.  For better result, use fresh white
bread which gives nice texture and color to these cigars.

Ingredients:
6 Bread Slices
6 Cheese Slices
Oregano & Chili Flakes
Butter
Pizza Sauce as Dip
Instructions:
Take fresh bread slice and flat it by using
rolling pin and cut the brown edges. Do same with other bread slices.
Arrange the all bread slices in sequence and
keep one cheese slice on each bread slice. Sprinkle little oregano and chili
flakes, Roll it gently and keep aside.
Heat the butter in non-stick pan and shallow
fry or toast the bread pieces in butter till to golden color appears. 
Serve hot cheese cigar with pizza sauce.

Banana Cake Rusk/ Eggless Banana Biscotti

I’m big fan of cake rusk. Love the sweetness,
crispness and flavor with a cup of tea. Few days before I made eggless banana
bread at home, but this time I want to try cake rusk. For this recipe you have
to first bake the cake as simple recipe. After that cut into slices and bake it
again for few minutes till to crisp. It’s a great snack with tea or coffee. I love
especially tutti fruiti flavor. You can store this cake rusk into airtight jar for
few days.

Instructions
Preheat the oven @ 180 degree Celsius.
Cut the banana cake or any cake which
available, into 1/2 Inch thick slices.
Arrange them on baking tray and bake them for
20 minutes or till to golden and crisp.
Keep aside to cool at room temperature and
keep in air tight jar or box.

PepperTap is a grocery application on your
smartphone, which delivers groceries and staples within two hours of placing
the order, at your doorsteps. These days everyone is busy working, we don’t
have enough time to go market and place an order for fresh and seasonal fruits

Internet. Just click on one button and you can get things on hand without any

The product listing is easy and convenient to
add in to shopping bag. You can increase or decrease the quantity with simple +
or – sign. There is also a bar at the bottom which displays the total amount of
the products you have picked so far. Most of them items had a great deals
compare to local market prices. The vegetables and fruits looked fresh and
hygiene wrapped in plastic bag. Overall I’m quite satisfied with PepperTap
service. It’s completely user friendly application and easy to operate.
The developers of this app have very smartly
divided all the grocery items into separate categories. This makes it very

Few Egg Substitutions in Baking

Many of people choose to eliminate eggs from
their food; they prefer more vegetarian or vegan recipes, concerns with
allergies, religious purposes, health problems or environmental reasons. Here I shared some substitutions below
through which we can replace the egg in baking recipes to bake eggless baking
goodies.
Ground Flax
1 Tbsp. Ground flax + 3 Tbsps. water = 1 Egg
(Mix and blend until to creamy and thick
mixture)
Best for chocolate recipe, oatmeal cookies,
granola bars
Chia Seeds
1 Tbsp. Chia Seeds + 1/3 Cup water = 1 Egg
(Mix and let sit for 15 minutes)
Soy Protein
1 Tbsp. Soy Protein Powder + 3 Tbsps. water =
1 Egg (Mix well)
Agar Agar
1 Tbsp. Agar agar + 1 Tbsp. Water = 1 Egg
Ripe Bananas
1/2 Mashed Banana = 1 egg (Cream with Sugar)
Fat free cookies, muffins, breads and
pancakes
Apple Sauce
1/4 Cup Unsweetened Applesauce = 1 Egg (Add with
wet Ingredients)

Muesli (Swiss Oats and Fruit Breakfast)

Muesli is a
breakfast cereal developed at the turn of 20th century by the Dr. Maximilian
Bircher-Benner, a Swiss nutritionist. He introduced a dish of grains, nut,
milk, cream and honey for the patients at his sanatorium. This recipe is widely
popular in Europe and has since spread around the world. Variations on the
basic theme are endless.

Muesli is a
breakfast and brunch recipe based on raw rolled oats, fruits, and nuts and
mixed with milk or juice. It’s a very easy and quick recipe, you can serve chilled
or hot both variation of muesli. For chilled version, you have to soak the oats
in juice or milk overnight and for hot version, you have to give quick stir in
hot milk and served with other ingredients.

Honey to Taste
1/2 Cup Yogurt
or Cream
Instructions:
Mix the Oats
with milk or juice in a bowl. Cover and refrigerate overnight or at least 2
hours.
Combine fruits,
nuts, and honey to taste. Top with cream or yogurt and serve cold with fresh
orange juice.
Notes
Even you can serve muesli as a hot cereal. For this you have to just
stir the oats or grain in hot milk or hot juice and compile with fresh fruits
and nuts.

Coconut Roti | Pol Roti – Sri Lankan Cuisine

Coconut roti or pol roti is eaten almost every day for
breakfast in Sri Lanka. Pol roti is made with freshly grated coconut, flour and
salt. It’s just like thick tortillas. For more variation, you can add onion,
chilies and wheat flour instead of plain flour which makes this recipe
healthier. 

This pol rotis are soft and full on flavor of coconut which adds the
richness and natural sweetness. Even you can store the leftover rotis for
another day.

Ingredients
2 Cups All Purpose Flour/ Maida
1 Cup Fresh Coconut, Grated
1 Onion, Chopped
2 Green Chilies, Finely Chopped
Salt to Taste
Water, as needed
1 Tbsp. Oil
Instructions:
Add flour, coconut, onion, chilies, salt and oil
together in bowl.
Add water and knead smooth dough as chapatti type.
If your dough is still sticky then add extra flour for
soft and smooth dough.
Now cover with damp cloth and keep aside for 30
minutes to rest.
Heat the tawa or griddle on medium flame.
Divide the dough into eight equal parts and roll them
out into 5 inch circles.  
Cook the roti on the tawa from the both sides until to
brown spots on the surface.
Continue the same procedure with other balls.
Serve warm pol roti with coconut sambol or any
curries.
Notes: You can add
1:1 ratio of maida and wheat flour for healthy version.
