Aloo 65 or Potato 65 is a spicy and deep fried snack which originated from Chicken 65 or paneer 65. It’s a quick and fried snack which made with potatoes and marination of gram and plain flour with curd and spices. You can serve this recipe as snack or appetizer or in gravy too as main course.

Cooking Time: 20 Minutes
5 Large Sized Potatoes
Oil for deep frying
2 Tbsps. Gram Flour/ Besan
2 Tbsps. All Purpose Flour/ Maida
3 Tbsps. Cornflour
1/2 Cup Hung Curd
1/2 Tbsp. Coriander Powder
1/2 Tbsp. Red Chili Powder
1/2 Tbsp. Turmeric Powder
1/2 Tbsp. Garam Masala
1/2 Tbsp. Chat masala
1/2 Tbsp. Raw Mango Powder/ Amchur
1 Tbsp. Kasuri Methi
Salt to Taste
1 Tbsp. Oil
Fresh coriander leaves
Peel and chop the potatoes into diced form. Boil the potatoes with water for 10 Minutes in heavy bottom pan. Drain and keep aside to cool.
In separate bowl, combine all marination ingredients together and beat well. Consistency should be like a thick paste which easy to coat on potato cubes. Now coat the cubes with the paste and keep aside to marinate for atleast 15-20 minutes.
Heat the sufficient oil in a deep wok or pan. When oil is hot enough, add the potatoes in small batches and fry them until to crisp and golden on medium flame.
Drain the fried cubes on a tissue paper to absorb excess oil. Serve hot and fried potato 65 with ketchup and onion rings.
